ABOUT

Hello, my dear
I'm Drexelle

The heart behind D. PARK STUDIOS

For nearly two decades, I’ve had the privilege of photographing weddings, families, and celebrations around the world. More than just beautiful footage, I want every person in front of our cameras to feel genuinely cared for.

MY STORY

I used to believe the best way to care for people was to work harder, move faster, and perfect every detail.

That mindset led me to study business, earn my MBA, and build a career around project management and creating better systems.

But that old narrative eventually led me to burnout. And burnout taught me a lesson no degree could: the best moments aren’t achieved through striving. They’re experienced through presence.

That lesson changed the way I live and ultimately the way I photograph.

HOW THAT BECAME D. PARK STUDIOS
HOW THAT BECAME
D. PARK STUDIOS

To be deeply present.
To show the worth of every person.
To form authentic connections.

This calling is the culture of D. PARK STUDIOS.

We don’t believe wedding photo and film are simply about documenting events. They’re about helping people slow down enough to experience them.

We see the grandparents who quietly wipe their tears, children dancing when no one’s watching, lifelong friendships, and inside jokes. It isn’t just about the couple but about every single one present that day.

meet our lead filmmaker

Loyd Calomay

With 25 years of filmmaking experience, Loyd has been a dear friend and trusted creative partner at D. PARK STUDIOS for nearly a decade.

He leads our filmmaking team and brings his expertise to preserving the meaningful moments that photographs alone cannot capture.

His work has appeared in TIME and The New Yorker, and his filmmaking has been recognized by EventDV magazine.

“My hope is that couples will look back at their film and remember their promises to each other in the good times, but most importantly, during the hard times.”

LIFE OUTSIDE WEDDINGS

You’ll usually find me with my high school sweetheart, David, our son, Knightly and his service dog, Byanca.

Knightly was born with Down syndrome and has taught me so much about joy and the worth of every person.

I’m also pursuing seminary as I hope to learn how to connect with God and people more authentically. My faith shapes the way I live and my belief in the inherent worth of every person.
